Using backups to create restore points are a great method to unwind damage caused by a virus or hack. They also help restore accidentally deleted information. Here’s how to create a backup restore point on your device:
Creating a backup:
1.) Go to Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Backup and Restore
2.) Select Setup backup and follow the steps in the wizard.
Creating a system image:
1.) Go to Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Backup and Restore
2.) Choose Create a system image in the left hand menu.
Create a restore point:
1.) Go to Control Panel > System and Maintenance > System
2.) Choose System protection in the left hand menu
3.) In the System protection tab, select Create
4.) Type a description and select Create
Restoring your machine
1.) Go to Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Backup and Restore
2.) Select Restore
3.) Either select Browse or Search to find the backup you want to restore from

Choose Select another backup to restore files from and then under Backup Period search for the date range that would contain the backup and follow the wizard.
